Coughs are typically caused by viral infections and usually soon go. Viral infections commonly affect the throat (larynx), or the main airway (trachea), or the airways going into the lungs (bronchi). These infections are sometimes called laryngitis, tracheitis, or bronchitis. Cough is often the main symptom.
The cough typically develops over a day or so and can become quite irritating. Other symptoms include high temperature (fever), headache, aches and pains. Cold symptoms may occur if the infection also affects the nose. Symptoms typically peak after 2-3 days, and then gradually clear. However, the cough may persist for up to four weeks after the infection has gone. 

Avoid Antibiotics as these Antibiotics are not usually advised. Antibiotics do not kill viruses - they only kill germs called bacteria. Antibiotics do not usually ease a cough caused by a virus. They may even make symptoms worse, as they sometimes cause side-effects such as loose or watery stools (diarrhoea), feeling sick, and rashes.

It also beat congestion since it contains potent components like camphene, eugenol and cineole in its essential oils. Mulethi (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 60mg : Is a medicinal herb which has anti oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory , properties useful in cough, sore throat, bronchitis. It reduce irritation of the throat and yet has an expectorant action, It produce its demulcent and expectorants effects by simulation of tracheal mucous secretion and its extremely soothing to the mucous membrane.

Sunth (Zingiber Officinale) 60mg : Modern scientific search has reveled that ginger possesses numerous properties including antioxidant effect, an ability to inhibit the formation of inflammatory mediators and direct anti-inflammatory effect and promotes healthy sweating which is often helpful during cols and flus. A good sweet may ado a lot more than simply assist detoxification.

Banapsha (Viola Odorate) 60mg : A cure for catarrh, cold and cough. Sharbat Banapsha is useful for curing catarrh, cold. cough, fever, headache, pain and soreness in throat.

Pipli (Piper Longum) 60mg : Provideds relief from cough and throat infection and improves Lungs health. Also helps is detoxifying lungs. Reduce the frequency of paroxysms in bronchial asthma.

Khatmi (Althaea officinalis) 30mg : Used as an exporant and acts as decongestant and ecollient.

Dalchini (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum) 8mg : Known for its antibiotic and body warming properties, cinnamon is a formidable remedy against cold and cough. It not only helps to relieve the congestion commonly experienced with a cold, it is also great for a sore throat when combined with ginger, tulsi and honey.

Lavanag (Syzgium Aromaticum) 6mg : is stimulant antimicrobial and Tikshna, so it is applied locally in headache and sinusitis, reduces cough, foul smell and breathlessness, simulates respiratory mucosa causing expectoration.

Pudinsatva (Mentha Arvensis) 3.5mg : is antibacterial, antifibrile. It yields an essential oil and menthol which exert, through their rapid evaporation, aslightely anesthetic and anodyne local effect. It is effective in rhinitis, cough sore throat. Soothes irritating mucosa.
